RESPONSIBILITIES AND
DUTIES:
International
Resources Group (IRG), a wholly owned subsidiary of Engility, seeks an
experienced Chief of Party (COP) for an anticipated large, complex agriculture
project that will increase incomes and food se
curity of smallholder farmers
operating in key agricultural value chains in south central Malawi. The Chief
of Party will provide overall technical, administrative, and financial management
leadership; provide overall technical leadership in the design and
implementation of project technical strategy; prepare, review and monitor
contract reporting and deliverables; oversee the recruitment and engagement of
technical staff; liaise with the Engility-IRG home office, relevant USAID
personnel, and project partners; and provide technical implementation expertise
as necessary to project components.
MINIMUM TANGIBLE
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s
degree in agriculture, international development, management, or another
related field required - Minimum
of five years of Chief of Party (COP) or equivalent experience on projects
with a similar technical focus including agriculture, agribusiness, SME
development, and/or value chain strengthening - Minimum
of 10 years management experience on large, complex, and multi-faceted
donor-funded projects; USAID project management experience required - Experience
with USAID Feed the Future initiatives preferred - Experience
with market and agricultural value chain approaches - Experience
with value chain competitiveness and private sector orientation - Excellent
representational and team leadership skills - Regional
experience required - Strong
interpersonal and intercultural communication skills - Fluency
in English required, local language skills an asset
PREFERRED
QUALIFICATIONS:
Project management
experience in Malawi is highly desired
