within its finance team for an experienced Financial Accountant.

Reporting
to the Financial Controller you will be responsible for ensuring that the
company complies with all internal and external financial regulations by
managing the accounts functions and provide timely financial statistics and
reporting.

Responsibilities:
- Completion
of month-end close process by day 2 including the preparation or review of
month-end journals. - Assist
with preparation of financial reports under US-GAAP and local statutory
accounts in accordance with A-IFRS including compliance with FAS87 and
AASB119 - Co-ordinate
internal and external audits - Preparation
of BAS, PAYG withholding Tax & FBT - Assist
with the preparation of company tax return under MEC tax group structure - Act
as relief Supervisor in the absence of the Financial Controller for AP
& AR Team - Oversee
of high transactional volume fixed assets register, accounting and tax - Preparation
and review of balance sheet reconciliations - Preparation
of Head Office reports including locally (eg, capital projects, bad debts)
and globally (Royalty reconciliation with Tokyo, US tax schedules) - Responsible
for the development and maintenance of internal controls, procedures and
systems.
ESSENTIAL
– The successful applicant will have supervisory experience in a similar role,
be CPA/CA qualified, strong system skills (advanced excel skills), exposure to
large complex ERP systems (preferably Oracle). Also, essential to this
role is your knowledge of US-GAAP and J&A-IFRS, a manufacturing industry
background and experience in preparation of consolidated financial statements
and tax return and stock control. Experience in a diverse and complex business
with multiple product lines would be highly desirable.
