Outreach Nurse – 5 posts – PSI Malawi
Diploma in Nursing and Midwifery (Nurse Midwife technician) and registered with
nurses and Midwives Council of Malawi, Minimum 2 yrs of experience providing
family planning services, Pleasant and open attitude to serving clients,
including youth, Willingness to travel 75% time to rural areas, Be sel
f
starter, effective tea player and demonstrated verifiable result-oriented track
record
Manage client flow at outreach clinics and assist in preparing clients
for procedures, Ensure the equipment for family planning (FP) procedures is
cleaned and sterilised in line with set infection prevention standards and
regulations, Ensures that RH equipment and supplies are ready and available on
a daily basis for outreach activities, Provide FP services according to PSI
Malawi service delivery protocols during outreach clinics, Ensures that client
counselling and education standards, including in contraceptive choice, are
adhered to at all times, Approximately manage and refer complications and/or
adverse events reported during outreach clinics, Fill in required monitoring
and evaluation forms, Successfully demonstrate technical competence during
periodic performance assessments
