Procurement Officer, Lilongwe – URC- Malawi Project
Reports to: Director of Finance
Manage all procurement processes of the project and ensure adherence to
procurement policies of the project
Ensure full compliance with URC and CDC rules an
d regulations for all project
procurement activities, Manage the Preparation of purchase orders, Identify and
recommend potential sources of procurement, Prepare request for quotation when
needed per URC ad CDC policies, Work closely with the Chief of party and other
project technical staff to develop the specifications for equipment’s and
materials needed for program activities, Coordinate procurement and transfer of
goods/materials from Lilongwe to the districts, Work with clearing agents and
oversee customers clearance for all shipments into Malawi, Oversee overall
inventory system and conduct inventory management by ensuring inventories,
movement and inventory disposal
Advanced Diploma in Purchasing and Supply (CIPS), At least 3 yrs experience in
a similar position, MSCE, Experience working with donor funded organisations
preferred
Able to negotiate with prospective suppliers, Able to detect fraud
advances
