Finance Management Specialist,

annually and extendable till the completion of the program


To be responsible for coordination of annual budget preparation, and monitoring
during execution in liaison with project and Govt technical staff and project
leadership as maybe appropriate, To be responsible for monthly financial
reporting, including bank reconciliations, To track the progress of the budget
execution periodically, To be responsible for Cash and credit transactions on
daily basis within the scope of the Project Finance Manual, To be responsible
for submission of disbursement requests with accompanied documents timely, T
prepare accurate and timely management accounts, To ensure accurate recording
of project financial transactions on the timely basis in the Accounting
Software, To maintain special accounting procedures, To compile information for
Internal and External auditors as required

A bachelors Degree in Business with majors in Accounting, Auditing or
equivalent, Possession of a Masters degree in Accounting, Public Finance
Management is an added advantage, Possession of a professional Accounting and/or
Auditing qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, CA or equivalent will be a plus, At
least 5 yrs of hands-on experience in accounting, 3 of which should be in
public sector accounting and/or financial management, Experience in public
Sector project accounting, particularly donor funded operations will be an
distinct advantage, Demonstrate extensive practical experience and skills in
public Sector regulations , Computer literate with a good command for MS Office
applications and ability to work in a computerised accounting environment,
Outstanding numeracy, planning, organising and controlling skills, Excellent
leadership, organisational and interpersonal skills, Excellent communication
and analytical skills,
