Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (ACEM) is an educational
institution whose prime objective is the tra
ining and examination of specialist
emergency physicians for Australia and New Zealand and the ongoing maintenance
of professional standards of the Fellows.
We are a small College of just under 60 staff with

The Position
This position reports to the CPD Coordinator. In conjunction with another
CPD Officer, this person will provide administration of the:
Development (CPD) program
2. Overseas Trained Specialists (OTS) program
3. Professional Development Programs
In particular this includes
:- Administration
of CPD, Specialist Assessment, Area of Need activities, including: - Ensuring
compliance with medical board requests and requirements. - Organising
interview panels and administering the assessment outcomes. - Annual
CPD compliance audits. - Assist
the CPD Coordinator with the implementation of program enhancements. - Support
the development of a New Fellows Program and the operationalisation of
ACEM education projects. - Provide
advice to OTS applicants regarding eligibility, processes and outcomes and CPD participants
regarding Program and compliance requirements. - Collaborate
with internal and external stakeholders to meet objectives of the OTS and
CPD Programs. - Committee
coordination: - Provision
of assistance to the CPD working groups, OTS Subcommittee, interview
panels and the OTS Evaluation working group. - Preparation
of agendas, minutes and corresponding documents.
are ideally looking for someone who has:
- Tertiary level qualification or equivalent workplace
experience.
- Demonstrated planning, project/program administration
skills. - Committee coordination and administration support.
- Experience developing web content and communications to
promote programs/projects. - High level of accuracy, attention to detail and
understanding of working with sensitive and confidential information. - Well-developed organisational and time-management skills.
- Flexible approach with the ability to deal effectively with
change.
- Competence with MS Word, Outlook, Internet, Excel,
PowerPoint.
