Nutrient Production Technician – Malawi Mangoes –
Salima
Self motivated and driven individual to become part of this dynamic team
Responsible for assisting with the production and management of all composting
systems and the nutrient programme for the organic banana nurseries and 450 ha
production area
Data and Information – Assist the Nutrient Pr
oduction Supervisor in the
collection of all relevant and requested data in accordance to the organic
policies and procedures related to the Internal Control System (ICS), as well
as nutrient production and management, crop monitoring records, soil and foliar
analysis
Quality – Ensure accuracy of collected data, compost production to the required
quality, and the maintenance of all associated documentation to the
required
Processes – Ensure all documentation and records associated with the ICS and
Quality Management Systems (QMS) for ensuring compliance with Rainforest
Alliance and organic standards are maintained to the requirement of all
stakeholders
Purchasing – support the Nutrient Production Supervisor in sourcing and
planning requirements for equipment, machinery and raw material inputs
Logistics – support the Nutrient Production Supervisor to ensure logistics of
raw material (product, packaging, utilities) to composting site complies with
production planning and guidelines
Applicants should have a Diploma in Agriculture or Environmental Science,
He/she should have a minimum of 1 yr experience working in a quality management
system environment and in commercial agricultural production. Candidates
should demonstrate good organizational skills and be confident about gathering
and processing data
