Business Analyst –
Banja La Mtsogolo- Lilongwe BLM Support Office

Review BLMs Trial
Balance for accuracy and completeness a the end of each month, and prior to
generating the monthly reports, Confirms that all income and expenditure
including payables and receivables for the period under review has been duly
posted, Ensures the integrity of

data posted by validating income, expenditure
and balance sheet postings for the month, Verifies that balance sheet accounts
have been fully reconciled and necessary adjusting entries and recharges (where
necessary) posted, Carries out moth end currency revaluations and immediately
notify the finance Director and Financial Accountant of any material gains or
losses, Generates monthly Management Reports (MRP) in draft form by the 3rd
of each month with a final version including narrative ready by the 5t of each
month, works with the finance team members and budget holders in production and
analytical narrative repot on the MRP, explaining variances and trending data
where appropriate, Meets with all budget holders once a month by the 15th
to discuss variances and agree corrective action, Proactively obtains feedback
on the accuracy or otherwise of postings for the month under review and ensure
that agreed corrections are made before the next MRP Is produced, Generates a
monthly dashboard for Centres and other channels as appropriate and discuss
variances and trends on monthly basis with the relevant Managers or Directors,
Supports Senior management in making sound financial management and planning decisions
through the provision of accurate information and analysis

Under the leadership
of the FD, works with budgets holders n developing annual comprehensive budgets
for BLM at cost centre, funder and project levels with notes on the key
assumptions used, Phases budgets in collaboration with budget holders and
agreed funding timelines and generate an organisational annual cash flow
forecast accordingly, Ensures that budgets have adequate provisions for support
costs, Uploads approved budgets on SUN before the start of the new finical year
and communicate approved budgets and revised chart of accounts where
appropriate to all budget holders, Works with the finance Director and other
budget holders in revising budgets on a quarterly basis

Balance
sheet reconciliation

– On a monthly basis, the business Analyst provides a balance sheet
reconciliation repot and updates the tracker for submission to MSI, All balance
sheet reports must be reviewed and consolidated, analyzing the balance sheet
and making financial sense from it with an aim of maintaining BLMS’s positive
net worth, On a monthly basis, organizes and facilitates meetings with
management to discuss emerging issues that are likely to affect the balance
sheet, This can be done together with the MRP

Accounting
and oversight of stock

– Consolidates monthly stock usage reports for all channels i.e. Centers,
Social Franchising, Social Marketing and Outreach, Checks and posts entries
into SUN, Cross checks with Cannels and ensures that usage and transfers between
locations have been recorded on bin cards, Posts stock adjustment journals
following stock take for material differences and particularly after year end
stock take, Regular reconciles between stock bin cards at Support office and at
other locations with SUN stock records, Regularly conducts Stock verification
visits to agreed locations as necessary

Other duties
– Any
other duties that may reasonably be requested by your line manage including
participation in year-end stock taking and asset verification exercises,
provides support and advice on the future design, development and roll out of
electronic stock management and invoicing systems, Supports the process of
identifying a sound basis of recharging overhead and indirect costs and assist
in the continuous review such methods to ensure relevance

Bachelor
Degree  in finance or relate fields from a recognized institution of
higher learning, professional Accountancy qualifications e..g CPA, ACCA, CIMA,
CFA
