Station Hosts are
Rocky Mountaineer’s front line of service at the stations alongside the
Destination Hosts and are responsible for providing excellence in guest
satisfaction. Station Hosts provide direct service to guests during arrivals
and departures and dealing effectively with day-of-travel guest requests.
Station Hosts ensure that all guests are welcomed and are ready for the trip
of a life time. Please note that these are seasonal, full time positions.
Key
Responsibilities:
- Representing
the RM brand, provides exceptional guest service and station operational
support during departures and arrivals to ensure an excellent experience
for guests through:
- Greeting
guests at the station during departures and off the train during
arrivals, answering questions and providing assistance as necessary
- Accurately
performing guest check-in duties including preparation of guest
documentation, inputting of guest information, and tagging of luggage;
- Completing
pre-arrival/departure tasks such as, but not limited to; motor coach
signage, delivering supplies to train (eg. newspapers, souvenirs, linen),
- Assisting
guests requiring pre-boarding or detraining assistance including the
proper use of wheelchairs and wheelchair r& directing guests to
their train or motor coaches and taking an active role to ensure all
guests are both boarding and detrained in an efficient and timely manner;
- Maintaining
station aesthetics in line with the RM “white glove clean”
standard by performing minor cleaning tasks of the platform and station
- Setting
up the station in accordance with RM guidelines and restocking supplies
- Effectively
communicating within the team, including the use of proper radio protocol
- Supporting
other members of the station team, sharing responsibilities with Guest
Services Representatives and the Guest Services team
- Preparing
supplies for next day train arrivals/departures, completing side duties
as required to support the onboard guest services team
- Providing
service for day-of-travel special guest requirements as directed
