Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP) – 1 post – Blantyre – Save
the Children
Applicants should have a Masters Degree or higher
qualification in public health, social sciences or any related field with 8 yrs
of field based experience managing large scale and complex development
assistance programmes for HIV/AIDS, health and OVC in Southern Africa and in
particular Malawi
Reporting to the Chief of Party, the Deputy Chief of Party will work with the
Chief of Party,(COP) to maintain close liaison with the USAID/Malawi office and
ensure program quality delivery, She/he will ma
intain close liaison with local
partners so that partnerships challenges are anticipated and resolved
expeditiously, The DOP will also serve as the COP in the absence of the
incumbent and will represent the project in key technical working and advisory
groups, She/he will be instrumental in focused contribution to technical
leadership to the project with the purpose of achieving the deliverables, In
addition the incumbent will work to ensure that programme management and
quality assurance systems are in place and working and are aligned to SCI
Malawi Country Office Systems, support capacity development and mentoring of
partners and encompass all critical components of the project and contribute to
the achievement of objectives
