a stable yet fast-growing Australian IT company - Be
part of a small, talented team of technical experts - Own
technical decisions while mentoring junior engineers
Us
IT is responsible for managing some of the largest and most complex ICT
environments in Australia. Thanks to our continued growth we’re now on the
lookout for a strong Networks Technical Specialist.
Because we’re not your typical IT outsourcer (we’re privately owned and make
looking after our people a priority), the ability to connect the dots between
technology, people and processes is critical. Working with one of our most
established customers you will liaise with our business and technical teams to
ensure alignment between business and technical functionality and project based
deliverables. You will also provide leadership and mentorship to the networking
team on site.
The Role
responsibilities will include working through a number of projects across one
of the largest, most robust ICT environments in Australia. As the subject
matter expert for Networks, you’ll play a critical role in a team of talented
infrastructure specialists.
You’ll be collaborating with customers, vendors and internal teams on a number
of projects and ongoing BAU activities to bring the customer in line with
modern technology and working principles. As part of our focus on innovation
and service excellence, each day you’ll drive a culture which breeds continuous
improvement, technical capability and exceptional customer service.
You
most comfortable working in large, robust and high-availability ICT
environments (bonus points for managed services and ITIL experience). You’re a
perfectionist when it comes to designing technical solutions, but you like to
keep your solutions ‘real world’. You consider yourself to be analytical and tech-savvy,
but you’re also comfortable picking up the phone and chatting with end-users
when required.
Sound like your kind of role? You’ll need the following:
- extensive
in managing enterprise network environments - professional
level network qualifications across multiple areas; Routing &
Switching, Design, Voice/Video - excellent
knowledge of core and network technologies; Datacentre, Virtualisation,
Quality of Service - high
level stakeholder engagement and management skills - good
knowledge of current industry trends; Cloud, Application Centric Networks,
