A business related university degree (Business
Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics or Marketing) or other
recognisable professional qualifications (CIMA, ACCA), Postgraduate degree e.g.
in Commerce, Business administration, Economics, Finance will be an added
advantage, Minimum of 10 yrs of relevant experience in business development and
rela
tionship management or marketing/selling (of which 5 yrs should be post
qualification experience in a leadership role within a CIB environment, and
preferably at least one yr experience within a Credit environment, Conceptual
understanding of business strategy, corporate banking, treasury management,
investment banking, trade services and payment solutions as well as credit
risk, Knowledge of financial markets and the bank’s products useful for
corporate clients, People management and leadership skills, Networking and
relationship management skills, Strong negotiation skills to achieve desirable
outcomes
for the bank, Excellent analytical and technical/legal problem solving
skills
Provide the required strategic leadership to enable transaction execution for
key clients, Set and drive the achievement of financial targets and achieve
budgeted profitability, Drive the client specific marketing programmes and
execution of marketing plan for existing and new clients, Maintain detailed and
current understanding of the industry to capitalise on new opportunities and
mitigate threats, Build and maintain strategic relationships with key clients
to drive the development and delivery of business solutions and revenue growth
for the bank, develop in-depth knowledge of the key clients’ strategy, business
context and financial performance, Led the development of innovative solutions
tailored to the client’s needs, Embed the client engagement model within the
strategy and act as a facilitator between business units on deployment of
resources to the client with a focus on risk optimisation, efficient limit and
capital utilisation and
maximising profitability, Act as the “first line of defence” as required by the
Credit Standard, manage the level of exposure and set limits whit the bank’s
risk appetite, Lead and continuously develop resources and build a credible and
capable team
