As
a Technical Officer (Pulses), you will:
a Technical Officer (Pulses), you will:
- Assist,
and sometimes lead, in the establishment, maintenance, harvest and sample
processing from field experiments at Kingaroy and other experimental sites
in Queensland designed to compare elite and established chickpea cultivars
for frost tolerance and other traits. - Collect
phenological data from experiments using established protocols. - Collect
soil and plant samples from experiments using appropriate equipment and
techniques outlined in experimental protocols. - Collect,
collate, evaluate and analyse project data whilst maintaining scientific
data integrity through use of appropriate computer and scientific
technology. - Work
effectively as part of a team of scientists and technicians as well as
work independently and supervise support staff as required.

- Diploma
qualification in Applied Science, Rural Science, or Agricultural Science
from a recognised tertiary institution, or equivalent qualifications in a
field relevant to the position
