Senior Consumer and Public Relations Officer – Malawi
Energy Regulatory Authority (MERA) – Head Office – Lilongwe
Reporting to the Director of Finance and
Administration, the Senior Consumer and public Relations officer will be
responsible for maintenance of a positive corporate image and implementing
two-way communication processes between the Authority and all its stakeholders
Consumer/Public Relations – Facilitate the
development of a positive corporate image and promote the interests of all
stakeholders, Design and implement awareness campaign programmes and educate
the public on their rights and obligations as consumers in the energy sector,
Ensure that relevant and up-to-date information is readily available to all
stakeholders, Facilitate a positive stakeholder feedback process and ensure
that all complaints and suggestions from stakeholders are given serious consideration
Technical Assistance to Licences – Assist regulated
entities to establish effective and conflict management processes and
capabilities within their organisations including dispute prevention and
resolutions skills, Develop and facilitate the implementation of complaint
handling procedures for MERA stakeholders,
Bachelors of Arts Degree in Journalism, Communication, Public Relations or
Marketing, A Masters degree in the relevant field is an added advantage, At
least 5 yrs of relevant post qualification experience in marketing,
communication public relations field in a reputable organisation, Must
demonstrate reasonable knowledge of the Energy Sector, Excellent oral and
written communication skills, Flexibility to work during odd hours and ability
to work in a team is highly desirable
