The camp prides itself on its warm and supportive community where children are
made to feel included in the camp culture. The supportive nature of the camp
allows for the campers to try new activities and develop new skills with the
help of caring staff members.

is looking for experienced camp people to fill the postitions of Canoe Trip
Guides. At Kandalore trip is a big part of our culture. All of our
campers go out on canoe trip and we run some of the great rivers in central and
eastern Canada.

of our guides are certified with Wilderness First Responder course, SRT and a
minimum of Bronze Cross is mandatory and no exceptions can be made. We
offer certification programs for those needing to be certified.

Responsibilities Include:

Camper health and safety.
• Facilitate learning experiences above and beyond paddling.
• Meet with trip group (campers and staff) prior to departure to review menu,
packing, route planning, expectations, health and safety, etc.
• Pack out and planning of each canoe trip.
• Review all medical forms with the nurse.
• Put away and care for assigned equipment upon return to camp.
• Make sure there is documentation of health concerns and health numbers in
trip log.
• Sensitivity to campers backgrounds and needs.
• Ensure all camp rules are enforced on trip.
