Our
client is a profit community based organisation dedicated to the provision of
Out of School Hours Care programs located in Sydney’s inner western suburbs.
The organisation reflects the communities which it services employing a

values are integral to the work that underpins the organisation and quality of
service provided.
Based
in the Inner West/North West and reporting directly to Manager of Education and
Care Consultancy you hold key responsibility for the overall provision and
operation of 2 Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) services that has recently been
acquired. The role supervises a two coordinator’s and staff in a team oriented
environment, working to ensure smooth day to day operations, effective staff
management, compliance; and delivery of high quality programs.
As
the ideal candidate you will have a unique blend of middle childhood OSHC
sector knowledge and practice, significant and demonstrated experience in
programs; proven leadership skills; and sound understanding of the National
Quality Framework, legislative requirements and its implications for program
delivery. Your business acumen and strong people management skills complimented
by your excellent communication skills will ensure you build strong alliances
and partnerships with families, staff and management. As the Coordinator you
will supervise, coach and mentor staff with the aim at building a positive and
productive work environment and provision of high quality program of care and
education for children.

Training, mentoring and management of staff performance

Cultural competence and experience in working collaboratively across the
community

Strong networking, liaison and representation skills

Financial management skills
Must
have:


Minimum Diploma in Children Services or Diploma of Out of School Care
qualifications; recognised by ACECQA

Experience in the provision of Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) and Vacation
Care programs

Strong understanding and working knowledge of the National Regulations, My Time
Our Place learning framework (MTOP) for school age children and National
Quality Standards (NQS)

Ability to design, manage and lead programs for OSHC

Demonstrated skills in OSHC administration and business acumen

Professional and effective communication skills, both verbal and written

Ability to develop warm and respectful relationships with families, school
community, networks, leadership team and peers

Proven people management skills including individual development, performance
planning and review

Current First Aid Certificate, Asthma and Anaphylaxis training or willingness
to undertake

NSW Drivers licence

Current working with Children Check Clearance
