Lead and supervise
survey field teams, including coordination of logistics, Responsible for
coordination of assigned field team(s) including allocation of field team
members to sampled households and ensuring the field teams are interviewing the
correct households and members, Monitor closely the data collection procedures
of the field teams in accordance with the standard operating procedures,
Conduct regular quality control checks and procedures, Ensure quality
collection of specimen for quality assurance, Comply with standard operating
procedures and eth

ical guidelines, Ensure survey participants’ privacy and
confidentiality and adherence to universal precautions and safety with
bio-hazardous materials, Ensure availability of all essential supplies, Ensure
safety and security of field teams and field survey and lab equipment,
Responsible for communicating objectives of the MPHIA survey with community
leaders of selected enumeration areas, Liaise directly and communicate
regularly with the CSR Study Coordinator and Regional Coordinators

Minimum of a Diploma
in Health, Social Science, or other relevant fields, Minimum of 3 yrs
experience in leading survey field teams,  must have lead field teams in
not less than 5 field studies, Experience in reading and using T/A and EA maps
(paper based and tablet-based) to locate households is strongly preferred,
Experience in conducting quality control procedures in household listing is
preferred, Experience in using tablets for data collection is strongly
preferred, Experience in conducting health-related surveys, particularly
HIV/AIDS surveys is highly desirable, Must be fluent in English and in
Chichewa, Chitumbuka or both, Must be of sober habits and be able to work under
tight conditions and deadlines, Excellent verbal and written communication
skills, Excellent time management and organizational skills, Excellent time
management and organisational skills, Demonstrated ability to lead and
supervise field teams, Demonstrated ability to problem-solve and troubleshoot
issues related to team work, surveys, etc, Must demonstrate team-building
skills

Training for the
main data collection will be conducted in May whereas data collection is
expected to start in June 2015 for a period of 5-6 months
