$12.50/hour wage
35 hours/week

The Ganaraska Region Conservation Authority is currently seeking
applicants for the position of Landscape Technician for our Outdoor
Education facility, located in Campbellcroft, Ontario

This is an excellent hands-on opportunity for students interested in
pursuing Landscaping or Horticulture Studies.

Application Criteria

1. This position is restricted to students over the age of 16 who are
returning to school in the fall.
2. You must be a resident of Ontario.
3. You must be eligible to work in Canada.
4. Must have a valid Ontario Class G Drivers License

Summary of Tasks
• Maintain and enhance the various gardens at the centre, including
weeding, pruning, re-planting, mowing and trimming.
• Develop and supply re-design plans, where applicable, with a view to
retaining the unique nature of the centre’s native species gardens
• Other general maintenance duties at the site, as assigned

Summary of Qualifications
• Applicants should be at least 16 years of age and returning to
school in the fall.
• They must have excellent communication, customer service and
organizational skills.
• Preference will be given to applicants with proven experience in
landscaping or horticulture and plant identification and care.
• The successful applicant must be able to adapt to an environment of
change and work well independently as well as in a team environment.
• Applicants should have certification in safe equipment operation and
maintenance
• Applicants must possess a valid Province of Ontario driver’s
licence, have reliable transportation and be able to provide a clear,
criminal reference check.
