Monitoring,
Evaluation Accountability and Learning (MEAL) Coordinator – Lilongwe
Position is
available for an initial period of 2 yrs, renewable subject to performance and
availability of funding
Reporting to the
Project manager, with a technical line to the Health MEAL Manager – the MEAL
Coordinator will be responsible for designing, operationalizing and ensuring
the functionality of the MEAL system for EC SRH Project, She/he will be
responsible f
or supporting output planning for the EC SRH project, using this
as a basis for developing consolidated annual output plans, developing and
leading in the execution of annual MEAL plans, developing and disseminating
MEAL tools training staff, communities and partners in key MEAL concepts and
skills that are relevant to their needs at their level, and documenting and
disseminating key learning from MEAL and research results in support of the
strategic objectives and outcomes for the health Department, she/he will work
in close collaboration with the EC SRH Project Manager, the Health MEAL
Manager, other EC SRH project staff, the sub grantee partners and other key
stakeholders in particular the Ministry of Health at different levels
Applicants should
have a Bachelors Degree level qualification in Statistics or Demography with at
least 5 yrs experience in monitoring, evaluation and research within a health
sector in NGOs, In addition, the applicant should have high level ability in
quantitative and qualitative research methods with significance experience in
designing and maintenance of management information systems and tools
