Monitoring and
Evaluation Officer – Farmers Union – Mzimba, Reports to Project Coordinator

Excellent
facilitating skills with strong communication skills in both English and local
languages, High level computers skills and experience using the following MS
Excel, MS Access, STATA, SPSS and SAS, Data management and analytical skills,
Thorough familiarity with principles and current approaches to planning,
monitoring and evaluation

of development programs, Experience in Project implementation,
research and program evaluation, Bachelors Degree in Social Science with 5 yrs
of related experience is required

Perform other duties
within professional spheres for institutional benefit as demanded by the
programme line managers, Supervise ad collaborate with data entry clerks on
data enquiry, entry and correlation and knowledge management protocols,
Maintain comprehensive programmatic database/management information system
(electronic and hard coy files of all project documents), Identify and inform
project team of respective programmatic research findings, learning avenues and
recommend possible action based on evidence resolve, Coordinate monitoring,
evaluation and learning endeavours for intra-and inter organisations, Provide
guidance and support in the development and management of information
management systems, Lead and facilitate Participatory Learning and Action plan
(PLAs) an Lot Quality Assurance Surveys (LQAS) in pursuit for program quality
assurance, learning and evidence based program management,  collaborating
with project staff and the Mzimba District Council in planning, designing and
undertaking project evaluations and other programmatic assessments,
Collaborating with project staff to implement and maintain the nutrition M&E
systems following the national M&E protocol, Ensuring timely submission of
quality progress report for the SNIC project, Providing technical assistance
and building capacities of project staff in all M&E related activities,
Providing guidance and support to all project staff in the implementation of
monitoring tools, which include but not limited to data collection, analysis
and reporting on project indicators
