VMMC Clinical
Providers – 3 posts – Zomba, Thyolo and Chikwawa
Prepare clients and
conduct safe male circumcision procedures at designated health facilities as
part of a comprehensive package of VMMC in line with national and donor
policies and guidelines
Clinical Officer
with Diploma in Clinical medicine with strong surgical skills or Sate
Registered Nurse with a Diploma or Degree in Nursing, Valid registration with
the Malawi Medial Council or with the Nurses and Midwives Council of Malawi, At
least 2 yrs of work experience in a hospital/clinic setting Good knowledge in
HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment and care issues, Excellent problem-solving,
decision making, organisational and communication skills, with ability to
prioritise multiple tasks and work efficiently in a demanding environment,
Excellent interpersonal skills, including patience, flexibility, diplomacy,
cross-cultural communication, willingness to listen and respect to colleagues,
Possession of computer skills including MS office, Power point and Excel,
Fluent written and spoken English and Chichewa, Willingness to engage in
frequent travel (about 90% of the time) to support outreach and mass
circumcision activities within Malawi, Training in and/or previous experience
working in voluntary male circumcision programs is strongly desired
