Job Description

Development Associate, Donor Programs
Temporary Full-Time
Role:
A
member of the AGO’s Development Division, the Development Associate, Donor
Programs will supports revenue generation activity, specifically with Curators’
Circle & The New Group. Responsible for Curator’s Circle program
development & fundraising responsibilities.
Accountabilities: 

Providing support for revenue generation
• Knowledge of membership & fundraising practices
• Donor relations
Objectives:

Participates in the development of strategies as they relate to Curators’
Circle membership and implements the strategies. Identifies new donor prospects
& undertakes preliminary research and solicitation of these prospects.
Responds to membership inquiries and prepares personalized correspondence to
donors.
• Assists with the solicitation and stewardship of The New Group donors by
assisting with the preparation of annual reports, solicitation packages and
membership materials.
• Participates in the AGO’s prospect management system
Qualifications:

A number of years of directly related experience in a Development environment
with a focus on membership and fund-raising practices.
• Demonstrated knowledge of fundamental membership practices.
• Well developed administrative, analytical and organizational skills.
• Well developed interpersonal and public relations skills to interface with
major donors, senior volunteers and AGO staff.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in applicable computer programs, donor
databases and social media platforms such as Raiser’s Edge, Windows, Microsoft
Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet Explorer, Power Point.
• Knowledge of the visual arts an asset.
• Experience working with major donors and senior volunteers an asset.
