Background: Radio La Benevolencija (RLB) is a Dutch non-governmental
organization working in Rwanda since 2004. The central mission of the
organization is to empower groups and individuals that form the target of hate
speech and ensuing acts, and to strengthen the population as a whole. Since
July 2013, RLB has been a consortium partner in the Rwanda Peace Education
Programme (RPEP), aimed at addressing community cohesion by providing an
opportunity for the local community to re-engage with each other on a cross
community basis, and bring people together to forge new links and promote
positive relations. The project is funded by the Swedish International
Development Corporation.

Purpose of the position:
The vision of RPEP is to promote social cohesion,
critical thinking and positive values in order to enhance sustainable peace.
RLB, in partnership with other peace building organizations, has jointly
developed an educational program comprising a number of activities such as teacher
trainings, community and youth debates, school debates and community arts
workshops, all delivered over a course of three weeks in locations around the
country. RLB is looking for a Co-facilitator consultant for 12 arts workshops
who will support the RPEP Outreach Coordinator, by helping to mobilize
participants, co-facilitate creative workshop sessions and help participants
prepare for arts performances developed by them over the course of the
workshop.
Main tasks and responsibilities:

-Collaborate in reviewing and updating tools for the community
arts workshops within RPEP;

community;

at the end of each community arts workshop;

-Develop and write programming reports, if required;

relationships with state officials and heads of technical services in the areas

in carrying out periodic follow-up visits to locations where arts workshops

Essential requirements:

Be a
citizen of Rwanda;

Hold
a tertiary degree in Social Development, Social Science, Communication,
Psychology or other similar field;

at least three years of work experience in animating creative, artistic
workshops and performances. Experience in community education, behaviour change
and conflict transformation trainings is a strong asset;
