Good Neighbors International (GNI) Different Positions in Rwanda

BACKGROUND
Good
Neighbors International (GNI) is an International Humanitarian and development
Non-Governmental Organization in General Consultative Status with the United
Nations Economic and Social Council (UN ECOSOC). GNI strives to improve lives,
especially children’s lives, through education, food, community development,
medical care, advocacy, and emergency relief.
In
order to complete vacant po

sitions, Good Neighbors Rwanda would like to recruit
the following positions: 1 Accountant, 1 Social worker and 2 agronomists.

1. ACCOUNTANT (Huye Office) (1)
Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Manage all financial activities,
    accounts receivable and payables of the organization
  • Verify all projects budget proposal
    and give some advice on it
  • Manage bank accounts for project
    sites, check and record financial transactions
  • Assist with monthly project budget
    analysis and financial report (Using Excel, QuickBooks)
  • Link the budget with the annual
    action plans to avoid mismatch caused by over budgeting or under budgeting
  • Perform additional jobs assigned by
    Country Director, Supervisor and Managers
The
candidate must currently live and be able to work in Huye, and be a holder of
at least, a bachelor’s degree (A0) in Accounting or Finance with working experience
of more or less than 2 years in related field. She/he must also be fluent in
English, computer literate and good in MS office (Word, Excel, Power point) and
QuickBooks.
2. SOCIAL WORKER, (Head Office, Kigali) (1)
Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Manage on-going projects under
    supervision of Country Director, Supervisor and Managers
  • Coordinate Community Development
    Committee activities
  • Conduct community needs assessment in
    rural and urban areas
  • Prepare and conduct training for
    community people on certain topics
  • Assist community in education,
    advocacy and health sectors
  • Perform additional jobs assigned by
    Country Director, Supervisor and Managers
 The
candidate must currently live and be able to work in Kigali and be a holder of,
at least, a bachelor’s degree (A0) in social sciences, education or rural
development with working experience of more or less than 2 years in related
field. She/he must have strong organizational, administrative, communicative
and interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team.
3. 2 Agronomists (1 Head Office, Kigali and 1 Huye Office)
Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Increase the production and quality
    of crops
  • Understand the laws and regulations
    under which food crops must be produced
  • Provide supervision and management of
    farms
  • Plan, monitor and supervise
    agricultural activities
  • Train and motivate farmers and report
    activities to managers
  • Communicate and cooperate with local
    authorities and agronomists
The
candidate must currently live and be able to work in Kigali for the Head
Office, Kigali or in Huye for the Huye Office. She/he must be a holder of, at
least, a bachelor’s degree (A0) in agriculture (crop production or
horticulture), with working experience more or less than 2 years in agronomy
profession and ability to work under field conditions in a remote area. She/he
must also have good computer skills. A holder of driving license of class A is
preferred. Applying office (Head Office, Kigali/Huye Office) must be stated on
both application and envelope.
