Technical
Services Engineer Powerplant

Position Description:
  • Provides technical services for engineering issues concerning
    aircraft, components and products between Boeing Fleet Management,
    Customers and Suppliers contracted to perform maintenance on Boeing Fleet
    Management customers’ fleet
  • Reports into the lead Engineer and program manager for
    Engineering issues concerning aircraft powerplant systems, components and
    products during maintenance and operation for Boeing FTM
  • Evaluates Service Bulletins (SB) and Airworthiness Directives
    (AD) for accomplishment based on analysis of airline maintenance
    operations and financial cost-benefit analyses
  • Learns and understands customer engineering and maintenance
    operations and assists Boeing FTM team in adapting procedures and
    processes to fit customer requirements
  • Develops Engineering Orders (EO) for incorporation of Service
    Bulletins (SB), Fleet Campaign Directives (FCD) and other modifications
    specified by Boeing FTM
  • Generates Engineering Notes (EN) and Engine Technical
    Variance (ETV) to address discrepancies on an airplane utilizing a
    non-typical repair scheme outside the scope of the Aircraft Maintenance
    Manual (AMM), component maintenance manual (CMM), overhaul manual (OHM),
    service bulletin (SB), aircraft maintenance manual (AMM) or other approved
    documents
  • Coordinates recommendations with customer for any changes
    that impact airplane flight operations
  • Supports review and approval of technical manual and
    maintenance program changes based on analysis of airline maintenance
    operations and reliability data
  • Maintains and manages airline equipment baseline, part number
    changes and part number interchangeability for all aircraft enrolled in
    Fleet Management Services
  • Provides troubleshooting support to customer and supplier as
    required including root cause analysis and liaison with Technical Customer
    Support (TCS) representatives
  • Analyses engine performance data and confers with OEM for
    corrective actions
  • Performs aircraft powerplant system diagnostic and prognostic
    monitoring of each aircraft using AHM, and makes recommendations for
    corrective actions necessary to avoid unscheduled maintenance and no fault
    founds
  • Evaluates other requested modifications such as reliability,
    customer and others
  • Evaluates and initiates follow-up action for AHM faults
  • Maintains Powerplant Service Bulletin and Airworthiness
    Directive database
  • Assists in evaluation and approval for part number changes
    and part number interchangeability
  • Assists Line and Base maintenance in incorporating the
    Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM) based repairs and writes work
    instructions
  • Designs repairs beyond Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM)
    allowances for review and approval by OEM Service Engineering
  • Documents aircraft / component / product condition for
    inclusion in aircraft records and for transmission to customers
Competencies:
  • Possess working knowledge of airline/MRO processes and
    procedures
  • Possess extensive knowledge and experience working with
    Singapore Aviation Regulations (SAR), Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR)
    Part 25, 121 and 145 , or equivalent, related to operational and
    maintenance requirements of transport category aircraft
