date of 9th March 2016 for a period of 6 months.
Key
responsibilities:

- Lead the delivery of the VSO
component of the project ‘Inclusive Local Development in Nyamasheke’
(2013-2016) in its final year of implementation with a final year budget
of 30,000GBP delivered by one Project Officer carrying out training - Manage relationship with key and
strategic institutions such as MIALOC, NCPD and other civil society
organisations promoting Disability Rights and Movements. - Ensure that realistic project plans
and cost effective budgets are developed for all SIG projects by
coordinating with finance manager, HoPO and other programme staff. - Diligently follow-up with finance
team and relevant staff on budget variance to ensure projects meet donor
requirements, follows chart of accounts and timely implementation of project
plans - Maintain relevant partnerships
including with strategic SIG institutions at all levels to sustain VSO
Rwanda’s strategic direction and impact in the disability movement in
Rwanda. - Ensure accountability of the team
through team through effective delegation, mentoring and knowledge sharing
to ensure accountability - Carry out strategic advocacy through
volunteers engagement, government collaboration, NGO networking and media
exposure in line with VSO’s corporate guidelines - Provide strategic leadership to the
SI&G Sector Group by working closely with the volunteers and programme
staff
Requirements:
Ideal
candidate should have more than 5 years’ experience in international
development with exposure to issues of Disability Rights. Strong experience of
managing large and complex grants, managing teams in a multicultural contexts,
strong Budget management Skills are essential. Earlier experience of working in
Rwanda or any other East African countries would be preferred
