Multimedia Journalist Jobs in Canada

The Shoreline Beacon is looking for a full-time multimedia journalist
for a contract position lasting until September.

The Shoreline Beacon has a two-person newsroom ideal for a candidate
with a broad range of interests and abilities. Writing, photography, layout,
web-based news gathering and social media engagement are all part of the job.

ake Huron communities of Port
Elgin and Southampton in Bruce County. It features a strong business community.

Qualifications

  • Energetic reporter with
    excellent writing and interviewing skills.
  • Self-starter, willing and
    able to generate his/her own ideas for both spot news and feature stories.
  • Experience with InDesign
    important as there is weekly production work involved.
  • Able to work flexible hours
    to cover various events and breaking news.
  • Strong interest in a variety
    of areas, including hard news reporting, sports and entertainment. 
  • Comfortable with photography,
    photo editing and posting content to the Web. Videography an asset.
  • Applicants should own a
    reliable vehicle and camera.
