Malawi Mangoes (Operations) Limited (MM) is a unique
start-up dedicated to improving the lives of thousands of people in Malawi off
the back of a successful, commercially driven, profit making business. MM
(Operations) Limited has built a state of the art food processing factory in
Salima, Malawi. The company is a values based agro-processing business work

ing
closely with local communities to grow and process fruit, within the
requirements of the Rainforest Alliance international sustainability standards.
Job opportunities have arisen and MM (Operations) Limited seeks to fill the
following vacancy of Processing Supervisor to be based in
Salima. Reporting directly to the Factory Manager.

Rope Purpose:
To contribute to the management of the factory and food
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
include
:
Data and Information
– Responsible for all factory data and information, collected, recorded and
reported in a secure, accurate, timely and complete manner, observing
confidentiality requirements and the needs of internal and external
stakeholders.
Production
– Ensure the factory meets all production demands to satisfy market
requirements. Efficient and effective running of the operations using
appropriate Lean and other management methods as directed by the Factory
Manager
Purchasing
– Assist the Factory Manager in the purchasing and storage of equipment and
consumables in the factory, in conjunction with the procurement and other
relevant departments
Quality
  • Responsible
    for all raw materials, final product and packaging quality, ensuring that
    international hygiene and quality standards are met.
  • Work
    within HACCP requirements.
  • Ensure
    that all staff are aware of and adhere to quality requirements.
The ideal candidate should have solid experience in the
food processing industry and be a holder of a Bachelor’s Degree in one of the
following sciences: Food (production), Production Management, Chemical or
Mechanical Engineering. He/she should have strong leadership and communication
skills, ability to work under pressure and in shift pattern are a must.
