About You

The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated history of success in
business case and proposal writing, a working knowledge of energy
efficiency practices, and experience in working with First Nations
communities. You have above average data management skills, and excel
at transforming data into clear, concise reports targeting a variety
of audiences. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, and adjectives
like motivated, articulate, and intuitive describe you perfectly!

Position Description

The Project Coordinator will be responsible for developing and
completing energy efficiency projects, from drafting requests for
proposals, to collecting field data, and writing final reports. This
position will be involved in maintaining client relations with all
involved persons in each project, including First Nations, funding
bodies, and subcontractors. As we are a small and dedicated group,
this position will also require flexibility, and comfort with working
in many different areas – we don’t expect all of our team members to
be experts in everything but we do expect a willing attitude to pitch
in as necessary.

Specific Responsibilities:
• Write project proposals and business cases for both new and ongoing
projects with First Nations.
• Collaborate with funding bodies to maintain and grow our current
portfolio of projects.
• Develop projects through all phases, and be responsible for interim
and finals reports to various audiences.
• Travel, sometimes to very remote communities, as necessary to lead
data collection, community meetings, and support of ongoing projects.

Qualifications:
• Undergraduate degree or diploma in Building Science, Sustainability,
Natural Resources, or similar scientific discipline.
• Minimum 2-5 years of experience in project development and/or
proposal writing, ideally in the energy efficiency sector.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and interpretive skills are essential.
