Senior Technical
Officers – 2 posts

Ensuring a smooth
flow of information between the counterpart, GIZ and other involved
stakeholders, Supporting the coordinating role of the counterpart for the NSSP
and contribute technical expertise for the further development of NSSP,
Supporting capacity enhancement of stakeholders at various levels,

Provides technical
advice and capacity development to Ministry of Finance, Economic Planning and
development and other line-ministries involved in implementation of NSSP in the
follo

wing areas – Monitoring and evaluation framework, Single Registry
Approaches, targeting mechanisms, Piloting in selected districts, Standard
Operating Procedure (SOP) development,  Piloting in selected districts,
Targetting mechanisms, Single Registry Approaches and Capacity Development
Strategies

Networking
and cooperation:

Supports
cooperation, regular contact and dialogue with partners, relevant organisations
and individuals, in the programme environment and with other projects to
improve and maintain good working relationships, Communicate local interests
and efforts, forward these and encourages sharing ideas and information for the
benefit of the programme

Knowledge
management:

Ensures knowledge
transfer for the benefit of programme implementation, Draws reports and
presentation documents, Contributes to reports required by the
partner-ministry, the Team Leader, GIZ Head Office and the German ministry
(BMZ)

Coordination
tasks
:

Assists the general
programme planning, Coordinates relevant project activities at local level in
consultation with the Team Leader, local technical advisors and in cooperation
with the partners, Compiles the relevant information for joint activities and
assignments

Qualifications
and Skills
:

Post Graduate Degree
in Economics or Social Science, At least 10 yrs of working experience in social
and economic policy, Elaborated project management skills, Overdrive on
stakeholders in social protection in Malawi, overview on international
discussion and state of the art in social policy and social protection, Very
good working knowledge of MS Office, Excellent writing and oral presentations
kills in English, Willingness to up skill as required by the tasks to be
performed – corresponding measures are agreed with management
