foster environmental awareness in the next generation, all within the
beautiful natural setting of Fish Creek

This is a contract position, and employment coincides with the school year.

Salary is negotiable depending on experience.

Learning Naturallyis an award-winning, environmental education program
that provides high-quality, outdoor education to elementary school
students who would otherwise be unable to participate due to financial
constraints.

Key Responsibilities and Activities

The Learning Naturally Program Coordinator will deliver school
programs at the Fish Creek Environmental Learning Centre (ELC) and the
Bow Valley Ranch Visitor Centre in Fish Creek. Tasks include, but are
not limited to arranging program days and topics with local schools,
preparing program materials and equipment, booking programs with
schools, attending meetings and planning sessions with the Fish Creek
Environmental Education team and the Friends of Fish Creek Provincial
Park Society, and assist ELC staff with the operations of the ELC.

Knowledge:
• Experience in outdoor and environmental education program delivery
• curriculum as set by Alberta Education
• Standard First Aid and CPR
• Class 5 driver’s license with good driving record

Abilities:
• Organize workload and effective time management skills, work
independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication skills
• Computer skills, MS Office
• Direct contact with public and children (police security check required)
