Overview:
- Full-time,
6-month contract, with potential to develop into a year-round position - Starting
in March 2015 - Working
closely with the Communications Manager, Managing Director and Artistic
Director as well as our Social Media Interns
- work
with Communications Manager to redesign and maintain organization website - design
print and online advertising campaign - design
festival program and final report - design
all other printed material needed for the festival (banners, signs,
invitations, event maps, brochures) - Social
media content developing, creating, monitoring and posting (Facebook,
Twitter, Youtube, Flickr) - Creation/dissemination
of regular e-newsletter (Mailchimp) - Content
management and distribution - Coordinating
with printers, designers, photography/videography team – - Assembling
and preparing files to meet pre-press and print requirements and deadlines
Qualifications:
- fluent
in InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop - fluent
with WordPress, and familiar with basic HTML - must
be highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage your own schedule
to meet tight deadlines - fluent
in English, with strong verbal and written communications skills required - able
to work independently and as part of a team under pressure in a fast-paced
environment - passionate
about arts and culture in Vancouver
