Job Posting For Assistant Placement Director (APD)
NYQUEST is an award winning international staffing agency for Canadian
summer camps and outdoor education organizations. We are looking for
an enthusiastic
/self-motivated individual to assist with sales and
participant recruitment in our Assistant Placement Director (APD)
position. This person will have the opportunity to learn from and
influence a fast growing company and be a part of a fun/dynamic work
culture. The APD will be expected to place international staff at
Canadian camps and sell other international staffing services to camp
directors. The APD will also help recruit international staff
participants and support and train our camp staff when they arrive in

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Secure work placements for international participants at camps and
outdoor education organizations (Sales)
• Speak with directors over the phone and meet with them in person
• Attend industry conferences
• Decide on suitable camp placement match for international staff
• Assist Training and Placement Director in developing client relationships
• Sell additional international staffing services provided by NYQUEST
• Deliver international staff orientations
• Assist with development of participant recruitment strategies
• Visit international staff at camp placements
• Answer participant questions
• Help update company promotional and participant materials (i.e.
directors information package, pre-departure handbook for participants
etc…)
• Utilize company database to keep track of sales information and
participant program information
• Ensure all programs and initiatives are being run to the standards
set by supervisory personnel
• Review and provide feedback on company services
• Actively participate in and help lead company meetings
• Help deliver NYQUEST Family Camp and Grandparent/Grandchild Camp
Programs. Assist as a counselor and program coordinator.

• Available to help out at 3 or 4 of our Family and
Grandparent/Grandchild Camps.
• Dates:
• Grandparent Camp 1: August 31st – July 2nd
• Grandparent Camp 2: August 7th – 9th
• Family Camp 1: August 28th – 31st
• Family Camp 2: September 3rd – 6th
Dates of Employment:
• January 5th (expected) until September 6th 2015.
• Potential to take the position to a full-time, year-round state by
January 2016.
• Potential to start as part time or full time, as preferred by the
right participant and agreed upon by the employer. Definite need for
full time availability by February 1st, 2015.
Compensation:
• Combination of salary, competitive sales commission and end of season bonus
• APD expected to earn a total amount (salary + commission) between
$24,000-$26,000 (for 8 month contract) depending on level of sales
achieved. First two weeks of employment will be an hourly trial basis.
Contract will be signed after successful completion of first two weeks
of employment. Contract will be extended if the employee’s performance
meets or exceeds supervisor’s expectations.
Hard Skills:
• Fast Typist
• Competent in Microsoft Office Programs
Experience:
• Sales experience is an asset
• Experience working at a camp
• Experience attending a camp as a camper is an asset
Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college
• Fluent English
• Clear speaking voice
Other Requirements:
• Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident
• Has a strong passion to help young adults travel to Canada to work
at camps and outdoor education organizations
• Able to commute to Toronto office or relocate to Toronto
