Position Summary
Reporting to the Director of the Humber Arboretum and Centre for Urban
Ecology, the Business Assistant will be responsible for the day-to-day
administration of educational and business activities for the
organization. Responsibilities will include: customer service and
record keeping support, fundraising assistance, marketing support,
assistance with special events and weddings, and general
administration assistance. For more information on our organization,

Qualifications
The successful candidate possesses at minimum a two year diploma in
Business, Accounting, Administration, Fundraising, Marketing, Project
Management or a related field of study, along with a minimum of three
years of related experience. Additional qualifications include
experience with: Microsoft Office; technical, policy, or proposal
writing; and budget management. The incumbent is highly organized, has
excellent writing ability, well-developed customer service skills, and
is detail-oriented. In addition, the incumbent is a team player and is
self-directed with the ability to stay focused and prioritize in a
busy, often disruptive environment. A passion for the environment will
be considered an asset.
