Competencies:
- Edelman
Toronto is in search of an experienced digital media leader to help manage
and drive paid media programs on behalf of some of the world’s leading
global brands, including a major client in the energy sector. Our paid
media practice is rapidly expanding, representing an incredible
opportunity to help define and grow the offering from the ground floor. - Provide
senior strategic counsel on paid social media initiatives across diverse
set of mediums (print, broadcast, radio, OOH, digital, social) for a major
energy sector client - Manage
multiple facets of client programs including strategy development,
planning, campaign execution and buying, implementation, optimization,
analytics and reporting - Exhibit
strong experience with paid offerings on key social media platforms - Monitor
trends in the paid media space along with staying up to speed on
measurement approaches - Draft
proposals, budgets and timelines for client projects. - Oversee
media research and POV development - Work
with Edelman Search experts to hone Edelman Digital’s unique paid media
and SEM perspective (capabilities decks, case studies, pitch decks, etc) - Work
with industry partners to gain insights and understanding into top trends
and opportunities in the media space - Understand
online research techniques and methodologies and use them to support
development/execution of client campaigns - Exhibit
strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and measurement
approaches
Qualifications:
- At
least six to eight years of relevant experience - A
deep expertise in evaluating, negotiating, planning and purchasing of
online media, especially social, mobile and search media - A
deep expertise in evaluating, planning, negotiating and purchasing OOH and
print media - A
deep expertise in evaluating and planning Broadcast media - A
passion for growing a media strategy practice that focuses on paid media
in conjunction with community management and content strategy - Experience
managing large-scale media programs on behalf of blue-chip consumer
clients - Able
to manage the budgets and interdisciplinary account teams on sizable
pieces of business - Agency-wide
responsibility for account profitability, new business solicitation, and
quality of account service and employee development - Superior
communication skills and ability to counsel clients’ top executive
management on online marketing issues. Interactive development experience
is a plus.
