Objectives of
the role:

The Multi
Stakeholder Working Group Expert will work in coordination with the EIB
Pretoria Office on ways to link the project to the work done by professional
bodies, local universities and training companies and to reach sustainability
of training activities for Financial Intermediaries and Final Beneficiaries.

The expert will help
design, coordinate, and implement Component 4 of the project. Including: 1) the
organization of multiple and regular meetings with local partners (Banks, MFI’s
and Business Associations), 2) identification of their interest and listing of
potential study topics and the curriculum as well as the format of the courses
to allow the maximum outreach (direct formal training, train the trainers
courses, online or blended courses, 3) working towards the creation of a
consortium/ working group or platform that allows the different parties
involved to work together and develop a co-created curricula.

Qualifications
and Skills:

·        
University
degree, preferably in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Sociology or
related field or equivalent professional experience and should preferably have
training in facilitating working groups and designing and implementing training
programmes – professional trainer certification.
·        
Knowledge
of the region would be preferred.
·        
Fluency
in English and some knowledge of Portuguese is required.

General
Professional Experience:

·        
Good
management skills, with a minimum of 2 years in management, preferably business
schools or corporate training consultancy firms or in the financial and credit
analysis function in a credit department / corporate lending department of a
regional microfinance provider or small business bank. Practical experience and
proven track record in delivering professional training programmes in the
region.
·        
Good
analytical skills in all aspects of the loan generation cycle, and in
identification and mitigation of lending risks in the MSE sector. They should
have a good understanding of the general challenges small businesses encounter.
·        
Excellent
writing, communication and presentation skills.

Specific
Professional Experience:

·        
At
least 3 years of experience in the delivery of professional training,
facilitating and coordinating working groups and multi stakeholder dialogues
among diverse actors to build consensus and action plans and Building and
leveraging networks around collective action
·        
4
years of experience in the development of curriculums and training programmes
for entrepreneurs and M SMEs.
·        
Good
knowledge of the Region will be an asset.
·        
Good
analytical skills in financial and economic analysis, credit and risk analysis,
and MSE finance planning and implementation, fully conversant with local market
and financial and risk analysis tools.
