NEW LISTING COORDINATOR
MARKETING DEPARTMENT
FULL-TIME
SUMMARY OF POSITION
Reporting to the Pricing and Promotion Coordinator, this position
ensures all new launches are aligned with ONFC values, mission and
standards. The suc
cessful candidate understands the marketing and
selling of organic products, and successful launches. This person will
work closely with all departments, supply chain team and vendors to
launch products which will strengthen ONFC and grow our member
businesses.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Coordinate all new product and line extension launches including
product rationalization planning and execution through all facets of
Sales, Marketing and Promotions
• Work very closely with Purchasing Department, logistics, buyers and
all departments to execute launch plan for all new products
• Coordinate product placement, including pricing negotiation, product
initial costing, margins, wholesale pricing and new product sample
program
• Ensure the highest standard of new product launches (ingredients,
packaging, flavours, pricing, innovative promotions)
• Identify, analyze and develop optimal product placement and
implement best practices to leverage the strength of the new products
• Evaluate new product performance against ONFC business objectives
• Develop and build vendor long-term partnerships with specific focus
on sales objectives, strategies, ONFC policies to maximizing the sales
opportunities for new products
• Identify competitive threats, highlight product
strengths/weaknesses, track new products performance and inform sales
and marketing team of any new opportunities
• Create and coordinate marketing programs to achieve ONFC profit
margin, and market share goals
• Ensures all products and collateral marketing pieces are in stock
prior to their launch date
• Coordinate new launch strategy researching member insights,
categories and trends
• Responsible for producing new listing marketing materials and
scheduling promotional programs for new listings and presenting to the
sales and marketing team
Administration
• Ensure all paperwork is filled out completely and received by the
necessary deadlines
• Coordinate new listings agenda and marketing materials meeting –
three weeks in advance for weekly meetings
• Create/set up 60-90 new SKUs in NAV with ONFC code, description,
size, list cost, UOM, qualities, taxes, categories, sub-codes, etc.
• Coordinate and communicate to all departments new launches
promotions (including Intro deals, Listing incentives, Hip pocket
deals, Ongoing deals) Annual calendars and guaranteed sales agreements
• Coordinate new launches publication (Wholesale and Buying Club
catalogues New Launch Flyers)
• Obtain new product North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) and
all other certifications (Organic, Kosher, NON GMO Project Verified,
etc.)
• Coordinate sell sheets distribution for Outside/Inside Sales reps
• Coordinate new products sample boxes. Top 30 AA accounts, Top 5 B
accounts, HFN Members, and sales and marketing staff
QUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum 2-4 years of progressive product launch experience in the
Organic and Natural Food industry preferred
• Business Bachelor’s degree highly preferred
• Requires purchasing knowledge, margins as well as familiarity with
NAV database, and basic accounts payable skills
• Strong analysis, strategic thinking, creative thinking, team
leadership, planning, organizing, problem solving skills
• Requires resourcefulness to improvise and adapt to deal with daily
challenges and to balance immediate and long term priorities
• Passion for quality food and understanding our members/customers
• Must be able to work cross-functionally with Marketing team members
and other departments
• Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills and
ability to multi-task are needed
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability
to work with various departments
• Must have excellent MS Excel skills
