Marketing and Communications Manager
Position Summary
Champion, lead and manage the
marketing and communications initiatives/efforts for product sale and supply to
customers, and design and undertake professional product launch and marketing
collateral for customers.
Position Details

Hydrexia is a growing and dynamic
company commercialising a new hydrogen storage technology based on proprietary
magnesium alloys. The company is seeking to exploit opportunities in the
existing and emerging hydrogen storage markets, such as industrial hydrogen
storage & delivery and refuelling infrastructure for hydrogen-fuelled
vehicles.
Reporting initially to the North
American Market Representative, this role currently has no direct reports and
requires a customer facing marketing and communications professional. The
Marketing and Communications Manager’s duties include, but are not restricted
to, the following:
  • Work
    with the global market representatives and product managers to market,
    launch and communicate products to customers.
  • Responsible
    for planning, coordinating and executing marketing campaigns, new product
    launches and developing the Hydrexia brand globally.
  • Provide
    on the ground support/assistance to the global market representative for
    customer studies, proposals presentations, assembling video, slide shows
    and demonstrations.
  • Develop
    and produce sales and marketing collateral with strong brand focus at a
    very high level of quality to provide to customers, including brochures,
    data sheets and case studies.
  • Building
    and maintain relationships with customers through being the professional
    customer facing side of Hydrexia.
  • Event
    coordination and production of event materials.
  • Website
    content management, SEO, newsletter creation, PowerPoint presentations as
    required by key internal contacts.
  • Tracking,
    analysis and reporting on the performance of communication initiatives.
  • Ad
    hoc communication tasks as required.
The person in the role will have
most or all of the following traits, experience, skills and qualifications:
  • University
    Degree and/or industry experience in marketing, communications or
    ecommerce;
  • Minimum
    5/8 years Marketing and Communications background, ideally within start-up
    / ventured businesses;
  • Understanding
    of sales processes and marketing strategies;
  • Demonstrated
    success in developing brands;
  • Have
    the appropriate visa status to live and work in North America;
  • Solid
    experience and proven capability in new product launches;
  • Experience
    in renewable energy/clean technology/oil and gas or other relevant
    industry, specifically hydrogen generation, storage and distribution
    advantageous;
  • Creative
    and innovative, with an eye for design, solid understanding of graphic
    design principles and demonstrated track record for developing outstanding
    quality sales and marketing collateral;
  • Capability
    to collect and produce product study artefacts and content to support
    sales efforts;
  • Strong
    copywriting skills and the ability to communicate complex ideas;
  • Professional
    customer presence and communications;
  • Team
    focused behaviours (whilst remaining cognisant of individual
    responsibilities and accountabilities);
  • A
    willingness to take on a variety of tasks when required to ensure the
    success of the team as a whole;
  • Goal

    environment; other language skills desirable.
