Infrastructure and Maintenance Officer, Reporting to
Infrastructure Manager- Neno, Location: Neno
- The primary responsibility
of the infrastructure Officer is to oversee the smooth operation and
Maintenance of all PIH/APZU Infrastructure - Assist the Infrastructure
Manager on budgets and planning of big and small projects, - Inspecting and Monitoring
Projects, - Producing bills and
sketches of construction projects, Making sure all construction works meet
the standards requirements, Capturing all maintenance work and produce
report monthly, - Producing warehouse
material usage and follow up report weekly, Carry out a planned and
prevention maintenance programme, - Undertake routine inspections
to all health hospitals and health centres, - Assisting minor
construction works, - Ensuring that work and
contractors on site their presence has been recorded, and that they adhere
to all health, safety and emergency procedures, - To carry out various
maintenance duties to ensure that the general upkeep and maintenance of
the premises is satisfactory, This includes – Repair furniture and fitting
as required, Minor plumbing maintenance and repair work, Re-plaster
damaged walls, Re-glazing of broken windows
Required Qualifications and Attributes:
- City and Guilds Grade 1
Certificate in building and Constructions Technology, minimum Diploma in
Civil Engineering, Must have MSCE, - More than 5 yrs in
experience in building and construction industry, Positive attitude and
ability to work with minimum supervision, - Basic PC skills and
ability to learn Company specific, - Ability to routinely
perform on call and off duty including evenings, weekends and holidays and
to be available and respond accordingly during these periods when so
assigned, - Experience in the Hospital
Industry could be an added advantage

This position is based in Zomba with frequent travel to implementation areas in
Balaka and Machinga – Project Concern International (PCI)
