Position
Overview

KLC is seeking a
qualified individual who will report to the KLC Country Director to oversee all
youth relat

ed programming activities in Mukono District, Uganda. This position
will supervise the sponsorship program and the youth entrepreneurship program and
their support staff and begin designing and developing the KLC Enterprise Zone
Initiative, a youth centre which will include a high-skills training institute.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise
    the sponsorship program social worker to ensure child welfare, proper
    monitoring and record keeping of sponsored students.
  • Build
    student monitoring plan to ensure strong management of program.
  • Supervise
    student application process, pipeline for continued studies, and extra
    curricular programs.
  • Build
    partnerships with local primary schools, secondary schools and
    organizations.
  • Monitor
    and provide support to our out-of-school program.
  • Develop
    and maintain key partnerships with public and private entities that
    compliment services and program objectives.
  • Develop
    and maintain partnerships with government and non-government organizations
    and donors.
  • Monitor
    and evaluate all programs and prepare quarterly and annual reports.
  • Design
    and implement the Enterprise Zone Initiative.
  • Ensure
    all youth development and education programming is in line with mission
    and business plan.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors
    Degree in Business Administration, Education, Social Work, Community
    Development or related field. Masters or equivalent work experience
    preferred.
  • Experience
    in youth programming and business enterprise development.
  • Experience
    managing programs and staff.
  • Fluency
    in English required.
  • Proficiency
    in Microsoft Office Suite.
