Reporting to the
Manage
r of Eastlink TV Community Programming, the Producer will be responsible
for daily production, major projects and performing on-air play-by-play
sports duties. Responsible for fostering and building positive working
relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, the Producer will
truly be a face of Eastlink in the community in which they reside.
Key
Responsibilities:
- Produce
content relevant to Eastlink TV’s audience and local communities. - Recruit,
train and develop volunteer production crews as well as conduct
pre-production and post-production meetings and program critiques. - Produce,
direct, and edit productions ensuring consistent compliance with company
policies, procedures and standards. - Conduct
pre-game research to relay story lines relevant to bringing a creditable
and engaging approach to the game. - Search
for relevant community organizations and individuals to develop effective
local programming. - Coordinate
the production of Community Access Content and local programming. - Comply
with CRTC and Health and Safety regulations and guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Post
secondary education in Television Production or Broadcasting coupled with 3
years television production experience. - Experience
in studio production, ENG/EFP production and Mobile Production as well as
non-linear editors. - An
understanding of Broadcast/Cable Television operations. - Knowledge
of production equipment, edit suites, studio production and computer
graphics. - A
passion for sports and a strong working knowledge of the rules and
regulations of Hockey, Basketball, Football and Soccer. - Reside
within the local cable system network. - Travel
is necessary, nights and weekends. - 3-5
years of TV sports play-by-play broadcasting experience is preferred.
