Commerce is a specialized group within Metroland that grow leading Canadian
digital properties including WagJag.com (a Canadian leader in daily deals),
Save.ca (a Canadian leader in digital flyers and coupons), and TravelAlerts.ca
(a growing Canadian leader in travel deals celebrating its 10th anniversary
this year).  Reporting to the Manager, Business Development & Sales,
this sales position (primarily outside sales) will be responsible for business
development activities for the Wagjag.com portfolio. The right candidate will
be responsible for securing new clients and building partnerships in a specific
category, against an aggressive monthly revenue target.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
•Cold calling and prospecting for
new clients for WagJag.com
•Deliver against aggressive revenue
targets by providing insight on all aspects of on-line sales
•Develop and build strong
relationships with local business i.e.  Restaurants, Beauty &Spa,
Local Attractions as well as Activates and Fitness Centers
•Build and grow lead and client
pipeline
•Reaching out to new customers and
making face to face presentations or pitches outlining the benefits of WagJag’s
product and  services
•Understanding the client
requirements and customizing the campaign, exceeding client expectations
•Stay current and remain
knowledgeable about web analytics, industry trends, online advertising trends
and Internet best practices
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
•Hunter mentality in seeking new
business

•3-5 years of experience in a sales
capacity
•You currently have strong client
direct relationships
•Results oriented, an individual
that consistently exceeds targets and corporate objectives
•Self-starter and can adapt quickly
to changing environments and market trends.
•Recognized as a relationship
builder, presenter and communicator at the CXO level down
•Experience in sales in a specific
target category
•Bilingual in French & English
an asset
•A University or College graduate
(Business or Communications preferred)
