seeks to promote a new model of trading partnerships guided by the
principles of Fair Trade. Incorporated in 1999, La Siembra is one of
the first companies to import, manufacture and distribute Fair Trade
and organic certified sugar and cocoa products in North America. La
Siembra’s Camino® and Cuisine Camino® lines of products are sold in
over 2000 retail outlets all across Canada.

Job Description

Customer Service Representative – 1 year maternity leave replacement

Main tasks and responsibilities
• Provide customer service by phone and e-mail:
• Respond to customer questions re. the status of their order;
• Pro-actively liaise with customers to inform them in case any
aspects of the order delivery are outside of expectations;
• Answer basic questions related to product characteristics;
• Answer the main phone line and direct incoming calls when appropriate;
• Give basic introductory information about our different programs
(Fundraising, direct, sponsorships etc…)
• Liaise with appropriate departments to relay or gather information
• Manage the order delivery process from order taking to order delivery.
• Take/receive customer orders by email
• Enter orders into our Minotaur system
• Transmit orders to our warehouse via EDI
• Communicate with our warehouse to ensure adequate order packing and
delivery by phone, through EDI or email
• Be able to prioritize and handle time sensitive tasks efficiently
• Work closely with finance
• Retrieve EDI information to process invoices
• Handle credit requests
• Perform other supporting administrative tasks, such as:
• Maintain/update the customer database;
• Prepare and handle mail/courier for shipments;
• Update freight rater documents
• Update external documents such as price lists and order forms

Qualifications
• College degree
• Two to three years of work experience in a customer service,
logistics or administrative role
• MUST be fluent in French and English, written and spoken
• Excellent telephone and writing skills
• Excellent problem solving skills, optimistic, service oriented attitude
• Natural attention to detail and organized,
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Some sales experience an asset
• Having worked in a coop an asset
• Knowledge of fair trade and organic an asset

Worker Co-operative Obligations
• As a worker coop, all our employees are members or on track to
become members. Decision to join membership must be made before the
14th month of employment. As a worker owner, you will have a voting
share and will be able to participate in certain levels of decisions
regarding our coop and will be sharing the risks and benefits of the
