is Canada’s pre-eminent, national community-based voice for public
wilderness protection. Since 1963 CPAWS has taken a lead role in

Position Description
The Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating a variety of
office, outreach and financial tasks in support of our boreal
conservation campaigns. This includes but is not limited to updating
our website, managing grants, recruiting & managing volunteers and
interns. The Coordinator position requires a highly organized and
highly adaptable person who can learn quickly in new situations.
Occasional evening and weekend work is expected.
Qualifications
• Strong, demonstrated grant management, fundraising, and bookkeeping skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with volunteer management and recruitment
• Public outreach and event coordination experience
• Expertise with multiple social media platforms
• Educational background or knowledge in environmental issues
• Experience successfully managing multiple competing tasks and deadlines
• An understanding and sensitivity of cultural issues
• Exceptionally organized and highly adaptable
Assets
• Experience using ESRI ArcGIS
• Photography expertise
• Experience/knowledge of travelling and living in Manitoba’s north
• Experience maintaining websites
