Rainbow Stage is now
accepting electronic submissions from child actors of all ethnicities,
religions, sizes, shapes, and orientations for our 2015 Season production of
Les Misérables. We are seeking child actors with excellent technique in both
acting and singing.

BREAKDOWN:
GIRLS
**All girls must be
between the ages of 7-12 AND be no taller than four foot seven inches (4’7”)**
YOUNG COSETTE
Soprano – low A to middle C (Supporting)Fantine’s daughter given over into the
Thenardier’s care. She is forced into slavery by them, and bullied by Eponine.
Despite this mal-treatment she is sweet-natured, intelligent, inquiring,
innocent, loving.
YOUNG EPONINE/YOUNG
COSETTE UNDERSTUDY Soprano – low A to middle C
(Supporting).
M. & Mme. Thenardier’s
pampered, spoiled brat of a daughter, she taunts young Cosette. **Please note
this is a non-speaking, non-singing role. The child chosen for this role must
first successfully audition for Young Cosette, as well as bear a resemblance to
the adult actor cast as Eponine as well.**
BOYS
**All boys must be between the ages of 7-12 AND be no taller than four foot
seven inches (4’8”)**
GAVROCHE Boy Soprano
– low B to high G (Supporting). He is a willful, cocky, street-urchin who
idolizes the men at the barricade. He is brave, witty, and charismatic – a real
showman. **please note Gavroche says “What the hell” in one of his songs.
Parents must be comfortable with that**”
Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls. Equity members
cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of contract. CAEA
members: please bring your membership card to the audition.
