Background: Radio La Benevolencija (RLB) is a Dutch non-governmental organization
working in Rwanda since 2004. The central mission of the organization is to

Main tasks
and responsibilities:

- To participate in the development of research
plans and methodologies for projects.
- To be responsible for all quantitative and
qualitative research work across projects.
- To develop with the Head of Mission, a research
activity plan for the year and ensure that all activities are delivered to
deadline and budget.
- To develop budgets for and implement research
fieldwork.
- To quality assure the work of external
enumerators when required.
- To write research reports and briefs as required
for all projects.
- To work closely with the various teams in the
office to gather output data.
- To be responsible for maintaining all research
databases.
- To represent the organization at key research
meetings with partners.
- To contribute to the development of Monitoring
and Evaluation plans for new projects.
- To carry out any other research tasks assigned by
the Head of Mission.
Essential
skills and experience:

- Minimum bachelor’s degree in Socio economic development/
Database management/ Information Technology or Statistics.
- At least three years work experience in the
Monitoring and Evaluation department of a national or international NGO in
Rwanda.
- Demonstrable experience in quantitative and
qualitative research methodologies.
- Skilled in the use of SPSS software, electronic
data collection, and research database management systems such as MS Excel
and Access.
- Experience of conducting and supervising
quantitative and qualitative fieldwork and analysis in Rwanda.
- Team player, able to work across various
departments and meet deadlines.
- Fluency in French , English and Kinyarwanda
Desirable
skills and experience:

- Prior experience of M&E in a media
development organization.
- Prior experience with Outcome Mapping and Most
Significant Change methodologies.
- Experience of working in the field of monitoring
and evaluation in other countries in the Great Lakes region.

Main tasks

- Work as a responsible driver for the
organization’s cars and motorbikes.
- To keep the car clean and washed.
- To carry out daily maintenance of the vehicle
such as checking the engine oil, water levels, status of battery, brakes
and tires.
- To carry out minor repairs on the vehicle and
recommend major repairs when needed.
- Ensure that all vehicle papers are up to date
such as registration, insurance and taxes.
- Be responsible for the safety of staff by
ensuring that seatbelts are worn at all times.
- To comply with Rwanda Police road safety rules,
specifically regarding mobile phone use while driving & speed – not
above 80 kms/hour.
- Ensure that first aid kits and fire extinguishers
for the vehicles are up to date.
- Report on time any accident or safety issues to
the Head of Mission.
- To maintain a travel log for all vehicles and
ensure that trips are signed by staff members.
- Update the logistics board on daily vehicle
movements.
- Carry out any other logistical tasks assigned by
the office.
Essential
skills and experience:

- Citizen of Rwanda.
- Minimum Ordinary Level education.
- Valid Rwandan driver’s permit, category A, B and
D.
- Knowledge of vehicular safety
- Past experience of driving for an NGO or a
reputed organization.
- Knowledge of car mechanics.
- Spoken fluency in English, French, Kinyarwanda
- Familiarity with roads and major landmarks in
Kigali.
- Experience driving on major highways around
Rwanda.
