of Edinburgh offers Scotland Scholarships for Postgraduate Students in UK.
Scholarships are provided in School of Health in Social Science. Scholarships
are available for students applying to one of the online postgraduate
programmes in Dementia (MSc/PG Diploma/PG Certificate) or for those
wishing to take stand-alone courses from these programmes for continuing
professional development (CPD). The students of Scotland can apply for these
scholarships.

Meeting
the standard course criteria: ideally possessing an undergraduate degree or

Description:
University
of Edinburgh is delighted to announce substantial funding from Alzheimer
Scotland in the form of scholarships to part fund postgraduate learning about
dementia within the School of Health in Social Science at the University of
Edinburgh. Alzheimer Scotland are committed to improving dementia-focused
education and training in Scotland.
What
does it cover? 
Total
offer is of: Students opting to undertake the MSc, PG Diploma or PG Certificate
in Dementia can apply for funding of £1,000 and Students wishing to register
for stand-alone courses to support CPD may apply for funding of £500.
How
to Apply: 
The
mode of applying is by email. Availability is limited and is dependent on
approval through the standard application process for the postgraduate
programme or for CPD. Application to the Scholarship includes the
submission of a 500 word personal statement giving the reason why you should be
considered to receive the Scholarship and how this would benefit people living
with dementia, your organization and professional development. Scholarship
applications will only be considered once an application has been made through
EUCLID for a programme of study, providing a unique university number (UUN), or
if a paper application has been received for a CPD course.

Application Deadline: 
The application deadline is 31st
July 2013 for study beginning in September 2013, or 2nd December for study
beginning in January 2014.
