Studentship Description:  The Atomic, Molecular and Laser Physics Group at Swansea conducts
world-class research in antimatter physics, including a major effort on
antihydrogen research with the ALPHA experiment at CERN. We currently have
a funded PhD studentship available immediately for a period of 42 months, and
university encourage applications from physics graduates within the UK and the
EU.
Duration of award(s): Studentship is available immediately for a period of 42 months.
What does it cover? The studentship will cover full UK tuition fees and a tax free living
costs stipend (full amount to be confirmed but at least 13,726 p.a.).

-The research scholarship application form
-Academic References – all scholarship applications require two references to
be submitted in support. Please ensure that your chosen referees are aware of
the funding deadline, as we will be using these to help us evaluate your

application or ask your referees to send them directly
to s.kramcha-at-swansea.ac.uk.
-Academic Transcripts -academic transcripts must be submitted along with the
scholarship application by the funding deadline. We will be using these to
verify your academic qualifications.
-Applicants should use the ‘Supplementary Personal Statement’ section of the
application form to explain why the nominated award they have chosen
particularly appeals to them and how they would choose to develop it.
