The Rwanda Network of People living with HIV (RRP+) is a national
non-governmental organization aiming at promoting and coordinating the actions
of its members which are the associations of people living with HIV. This
organization is seeking highly motivated candidates to fill the two posts
below:

Post I :
Director of Gender and Youth promotion
Duties and
responsibilities:
Under the direct supervision of the Executive Secretary of RRP+, the Director
of the gender and youth Department will be responsible for:
– Develop strategies and programs regarding gender and youth promotion within
RRP+;
– Implement and disseminate gender standards and quality norms applicable to
promote gender culture within RRP+;
Participate in national debate on gender and youth related issues and advocate
on these issues regarding people living with HIV/AIDS;
– Develop institutional and human resources capacities in terms of respect of
gender and youth dimensions;
– Set up and disseminate mainstreaming indicators regarding gender, HIV/AIDS
and Youth issues to be taken into account in all RRP+ interventions;
– Coordinate and supervise all interventions related to gender and youth within
the organisation;
– Monitor and evaluate the implementation of proposed strategies and programmes
at grassroots level;
– Monitor and evaluate the implementation of developed gender sensitive and
youth related indicators and consolidate implementation results from the
decentralised structures;
– Report quarterly and annually to the Executive Secretary key gender and youth
issues to be taken into consideration for further steps by the organisation;
– Participate in mobilizing resources for the development of the department and
organisation;
– Ensure that the mobilized resources are rationally utilized by the
department,
– Promote partnership of the organization through gender department with
other key partners working in the field of gender, women promotion and youth.
– Supervise the Youth promotion officer
– Fulfill any other task related to the gender and youth as assigned by the
Executive Secretary of RRP+.
Skills and
required qualifications:
– Be of Rwandan nationality
– Hold a master´s degree in Gender, Development Studies, Public Health,
Sociology or any other social science, with at least three years working
experience in gender and Youth related HIV affairs or a bachelor´s degree in
the same fields with five years working experience in gender and Youth related
HIV affairs.
– Have strong verbal and written communication skills in Kinyarwanda, English
and French
– Computer literate with proficient knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Power
Point.
