The School of
Literature, Drama and Creative Writing at the University of East Anglia is
offering a number of scholarships for Master’s of Arts applicants starting in
September 2013.
The School of
Literature, Drama and Creative Writing brings together writers, academics,
teachers and students in an exploration of the powers and possibilities of
literature. Our aim is to make reading, writing and performance confront one
another in ways that sharpen and enliven them all. We run
internationally-recognised programmes of teaching and research in literature,
translation, creative writing and drama: the point about all of these is that
they interact with each other.
The School is
recognised globally as a world-leader in literature and creative writing. We
were recently awarded the Queen’s Anniversary Prize for Higher and Further
Education, which is awarded only to those who can demonstrate outstanding work
at a world-class level.
In addition to the
outstanding reputation of the University in this field, the city of Norwich has
been named as England’s first City of Literature by the United Nation’s
organisation, UNESCO.
The University is
located on a distinctive and attractive campus that provides top quality
academic, social and cultural facilities to over 15,000 students. The
University has been ranked in the top one per cent of universities in the world
and has a tradition of producing creative and innovative research both within
